Living Roof

Here is the famous living roof on top of the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. These rolling hills cover 87% of the academy’s roof and host an estimated 1.7 millions planets across the whole roof. In addition to the living elements, the mounds on the roof are dotted with these circular skylights which are fitted with heat sensors that automatically open and close to cool down the building when needed.
